Beatriz, 62, of Margate, FL died Saturday March 8, 2008 at Mass. General Hospital. He was the husband of Nancy (Gray) Beatriz.
Born in Algarve, Portugal, the son
of Alice (Aldea) Beatriz and the late Jose Beatriz, he lived in New Bedford for many years before moving to Florida ten years
ago.
He attended the Calvary Chapel of
Ft. Lauderdale.
Mr. Beatriz was the owner of Silver
Fox Van Service in Florida. He had also been a bus driver for many years.
He enjoyed traveling and NASCAR
racing. He loved spending time with his children, his grandchildren, and his dogs.
Survivors include his wife; his
mother; six children, Theresa Richard of New Bedford, Cheryl Moniz of Dartmouth, Harold Jones, Jr. of Margate, Sandra Jones
of South Weymouth, David Jones of Winterport, Maine, and Nancy Rebhun of Bristol, CT; a brother, Jose Beatriz of Mattapoisett;
13 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; three nieces; and his chihuahuas, Coco, Nicholas, and Chico.
His Funeral Service will be held
on Friday at 11 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 PM. Remembrances
